Are you planning to file on your PIP or use an attorney? Our office is equipped and prepared to take on the burden of filing all of the necessary paperwork involved and working with or suggesting an attorney so that you can focus on getting well.
What is PIP?
PIP or Personal Injury Protection is first-party auto insurance coverage that pays for your medical expenses, lost wages, and other related costs. PIP not only covers the driver of the vehicle but also all of the passengers in your vehicle that were hurt in the collision. PIP coverage is mandatory in the state of Texas, and unless you signed a waiver declining the coverage, you automatically have it in your policy. Filing on your PIP does not affect your insurance rates; in fact, paying for your medical bills, etc is exactly what it is set up for. The amounts of PIP coverage differ but are usually $2500, $5000, or $10,000.
